    Judaic Studies Program

    2018 - Present

    Space To Move contracted to develop a strategy and approach to achieve the Academic Director's goals to build engagement, visibility, and a cohesive "brand" for the program's offerings.

     

    The Judaic Studies Program's existence and mission is a collaboration of the University and multiple community partners. Stewarding this balance of stakeholders is an essential element to developing communications strategy, outreach projects, and event promotion plans. Community engagement, woven with the education of students, is one of the defining characteristics of this organization.

    2018 - Present

    Board of Directors - Member Communications portfolio

     

    Suzane Van Amburgh serves on the Board of Directors of Birankai North America (2018- present). Her area of focus is organizing the community's member communications to align with its strategic goals (which includes serving the members' needs).

    • Past projects include developing a member survey (2017-2018) to illuminate why newer members are attracted to Aikido practice and why they stick with it.
    • Current project: Plan the content and format of the organization's first web based "annual report."

    2006 - 2016

    • Event planning and communications/marketing strategy for 6 professional development conferences (2007-2016)
    • PMO function: established project procedures and templates for proposals, charters and budgets (2015-16)
    • Project Manager for the Feldenkrais Science Network website (feldscinet.org): initial project definition, development and launch (2009), follow up upgrade project (2015).
